Comprehensive Eye Exams

Our doctors aim to provide comprehensive examinations to all age groups, ranging from infants to seniors. Each step of your visit will be explained in detail. The appointment can be separated into three main parts: pre-testing with staff, a vision and glasses check, and a full ocular health check. Our office has digital retinal imaging to take a picture of the inside of your eye, and the image will be reviewed with you during your appointment. We also ensure that your family doctor receives a summary of your eye care findings, where applicable.

Pediatric Eye Care and Myopia Control

The Ontario Association of Optometrists recommends that a child should have their first eye examination at six months of age, at three years of age, and then every 12 months or as recommended by their optometrist. Regular eye exams ensure that ocular issues such as misalignments of the eye (or ‘lazy eye’) do not interfere with your child’s ability to learn. A comprehensive eye exam is a must and cannot be replaced by pediatric vision screenings that only identify the most obvious eye problems.

With our dedicated pediatric optical station and pediatric-specific eye care technology, our clinic strives to provide a relaxed and fun environment for our young patients.

Are your children ready to read letters or numbers? Perhaps they’re a little shy? No problem. They don’t have to say a word (unless they want to) and we will still be able to conduct a comprehensive eye examination through the use of a battery of very sophisticated, precise and quick technology that will give us a thorough picture of your child’s eye health.

Is your child’s prescription increasing without an explanation? Our clinic specializes in myopia diagnosis and treatment using the latest technology and advanced methods catered to your child’s specific needs.

Bring your child in for a detailed pediatric eye exam and let our doctors figure out the best solution!

Diabetic Eye Exams

Diabetic patients should get their eyes checked every year to monitor for early detection of diabetic ocular complications. This ensures treatment to avoid any or complete vision loss. OHIP covers one major eye exam every 12 months for diabetic patients.

Our clinic utilizes ultra-wide field retinal imaging to produce an optomap of the back surface of the eye in order to ensure every inch of the retina is evaluated.
